Golaghat Tea has a rich history that began in 1946, when our great grandfather, the visionary Late Shri Gajanand Jallan acquired a tea estate in pre-independent India from the renowned Kingsley Assam Tea Company. Nestled in the heart of Assam’s quality tea belt lies our verdant estate, rich in its cultural and societal values.
What began as a single, determined pursuit of excellence in tea has now flourished into an heirloom business, proudly carried on by its fourth generation. For decades, Golaghat Tea has remained dedicated to producing the finest quality of Assam CTC tea, combining a time-honored tradition with a relentless passion for perfection.
Today the estate proudly employs over 300 workers, of which 70% are women. Our blend has been skillfully crafted and refined over the years by members of the Golaghat Tea family to bring the rich taste of Golaghat to your cup of Tea. |
